ANNOUNCEMENT
The
Kino
Equestrian
Statue
Miniature
Edition
By
popular demand a 7.5” high, fine art, miniature bronze of Julián Martinez’s
inspiring statue of Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino is once again available from
the Jesuit Fathers of Southern Arizona. The
miniature statue first appeared in 2000 in a limited edition of 200.
Proceeds from the sale of these statuettes are used entirely to offset
the costs of the beatification of Padre Kino and to promote a wider awareness of
his important work. The new edition
of 100 is being offered at $200 (US).
These statues are individually cast by the “lost wax” process, hand finished
with an appropriate patina, and mounted on a rectangular mesquite block.
A small engraved plaque is affixed to the block to identify the figure.
Approximate weight is 4 lbs. Please
allow six weeks for delivery since each statue in the new, numbered edition will
be cast only on order. When
ordering, please include name, address, and phone contact because a record is
kept of each numbered miniature; payment should be made by check or money order.
These statues are cast by the Desert Crucible in Tucson, Arizona, a highly
respected foundry. Orders may be
placed with the Jesuit Fathers of Southern Arizona, 2844 East First St., Tucson,
Arizona, 85716 (tel. 520-327-7130); orders and inquiries may be sent by email
to:
kinomini@qwest.net.
