Le te statue gemelle, sono opera dello scultore Messicano Juli? Mart?ez, e vennero fuse per tre localit? Tucson, Arizona - U.S.A., terra di missione di Padre Kino, Magdalena, Sonora - Mexico luogo della morte e della sepoltura di Padre Kino, Segno, Trentino - Italia, suo paese natale per ricordare il 300?anniversario dell'arrivo di Padre Eusebio Chini in Pimer?. I mezzi finanziari necessari per il completamento delle tre opere, giunsero dalla citt?di Tucson, dalla Contea di Pima e da numerosi e generosi benefattori ed anche dallo stesso scultore che accett?una somma assai modesta per tutte le tre fusioni La prima delle tre statue giungeva a Tucson nel maggio del 1988 per essere eretta sulla Kino Parkway, un nuovo viale appena completato. La seconda statua era completata un anno pi?tardi ed eretta poi a Magdalena sull’autostrada per Hermosillo. La terza statua and?incontro a qualche ritardo ma venne completata nel 1990 per essere trasportata via mare in Italia, e poi via TIR al piccolo borgo di Segno dove nel giugno del 1991, essa veniva scoperta durante una esaltante inaugurazione alla presenza di una immensa folla. Alla manifestazione presenziavano anche i rappresentanti diplomatici di USA e Messico oltre alle massime autorit?del Trentino.	The three statues are work of the Mexican sculptor Juli? Mart?ez and were cast on request of a group of citizens in Tucson who formed a committee to head a project called “Three Statues for Three Centuries.?span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> This time the sensitive portrayal of Kino on horseback would be cast in bronze for three places ?Tucson, Arizona - U.S.A., mission territory of Padre Kino, Magdalena, Sonora - Mexico site of his death and burial and Segno, Trentino - Italia, his birth village to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the arrival of Padre Kino in Pimer?. The funds necessary to complete the three statues came from the city of Tucson, from Pima County and from several generous benefactors and also from Juli? Mart?ez who accepted a very modest sum for all three castings! It was as though Kino’s historic generosity were being repaid in kind. The first of the three statues arrived in Tucson in May, 1988, and the statue was erected on the newly completed Kino Parkway. The second statue was completed a year later and erected in Magdalena on the toll road to Hermosillo! The third statue was completed in 1990 and shipped by freighter to Genoa, from which port the Province of Trent hauled it to the tiny town of Segno where the statue was dedicated in a jubilant celebration in June, 1991.
