Kino Presentation by Professor from Italy. This Tuesday afternoon, Dr. Alessandra Lorini presents “The Many Journeys of Father Kino: From History to Memory in the Making of Modern Southwestern Culture.” She will speak about the the connection between the history of Kino and its perception and use in the public memory in areas such as public speeches, memorials and films. Dr. Lorini taught North American history for three decades at the University of Florence, Italy. She received her PhD from Columbia University and was a research fellow at Harvard University. Presentation on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 3 pm at The Arizona State Museum, 1013 E. University Blvd., Tucson. Museum admission of $5 charged.
